FAQ

What does my child need to bring to co-op?

Please bring a snack and a water bottle. Each time we meet the students participate in both art and gym so be mindful of clothing and shoes. Any other items that are needed will be communicated in advance. (We don't anticipate other needs at this time.)

How many students are in the co-op?

If all classes are full, there will be 80 total students, 10-15 in each class.

How often will I need to help at co-op?

A co-op only works if everyone helps! There are many ways to be part of the co-op - teaching, working at the front desk, cleaning, and of course as a classroom helper. You'll be assigned as a helper about 3-6 times per semester. The other 6-9 weeks you can drop off your students!

Can I drop off and leave?

If you are not assigned to teach or help, yes you can drop off your children who are enrolled. Please be sure to use the sign out forms and arrive back on time to pick them up!

Can I sit in the class?

We'd like the students to grow in their ability to listen to the teachers and work with their peers so if you are not teaching or assigned to helping we don't want parents sitting in on the classes.

However, there is a nursery and other places to sit with comfortable furniture and wi-fi for you to enjoy and our hope is that you'll meet other parents and have a moment to relax.

If your student has behavior issues in class you may be asked to stay on site or in the classroom.

Can I drop off my toddler in the nursery?

No, the nursery is a place for parents to relax with their children - it is not childcare. If you are helping in a classroom and have little ones, you can either bring your younger children with you or ask another parent in the nursery to watch your young one.

What does the cost of the co-op cover?

This co-op offers robust classes and learning opportunities - Art and Music classes can be quite costly, by offering them in this co-op we desire to give students these arts opportunities at fraction of the cost of traditional classes.

Students will participate in true art lessons, not just crafts. Materials are supplied! Music education requires supplies from rhythm sticks to purchasing the music rights. Sports balls, cones, and jump ropes for gym. Playdough, markers, and more for the younger classes!

We also have expenses for the facility, website, name tags etc.

Our desire is to use all funds for the students!

If cost is hindering, reach out! Semester-long teachers receive a discount.

Is the co-op faith based?

No, there is no religious affiliation.

What are your safety guidelines?

Each classroom will always have 2 adults in the room.

We operate with an "open door policy" where all classroom doors remain open at all time.

One person from the leadership team will be walking around throughout co-op monitoring classes.
